Ottawa Information

Ottawa operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST). Weather-wise, Autumn is a beautiful time in Ottawa. Early September usually brings the first chill, when evening temperatures drop below 10C. At the end of the month, trees begin to change to vibrant shades of red, yellow and orange. The colours usually peak in early October. October sees temperatures of 15C / 59F by day, with nights feeling rather cold (5C).

  • The Rideau Canal, Ontario’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, winds its way through the city. In
    winter it becomes the world’s largest naturally frozen skating rink.
