Introduction: Mainstreaming responsible investment

Agenda is available here

The 2010 annual conference took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, in collaboration with The Centre for CSR at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS). It was PRI’s third annual academic conference.

The PRI is proud to announce the first PRI Academic Research Awards for papers of excellence. The research awards were sponsored by the Danish Government. An announcement about the awards is available here.

The conference coincided with the launch of The Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment. Presenters were able to contribute to a themed section and were invited to submit papers on topics such as the intersection of fiduciary duties and shareholder activism with sustainability, and investors’ use of regulated social and environmental reporting. Read more about the Journal of Sustainable Finance here.

The conference gathered 100 leading thinkers (academics, PRI signatories, investment practitioners and students) from around the world for three days. On May 5, a student symposium was held and the main conference took place on May 6 and 7.

The 4th Annual Academic Conference will be held in partnership with Mistra and will take place in Stockholm in 2011. The The PRI has also teamed up with the French SIF to support papers of excellence on responsible investment with a series of research awards. The call for papers for the PRI/Mistra Academic Conference and PRI/French SIF European Research Awards will be announced in October 2010.
