In South Korea, a group of 8 investors engaged with 15 companies to encourage improved ESG disclosure. The group used a benchmark analysis of the companies as a basis for engagement discussions during two trips to Seoul. Investors held 12 meetings with company representatives, and discussed specific opportunities to enhance ESG disclosure in their upcoming sustainability reports. Overall, the group made steady progress on reporting with all 15 companies it engaged, including Hynix, LG Electronics, Samsung and Shinhan Financial Group.
