Joint UNGC Network Canada and PRI Québec Network roundtable breakfast

The Global Compact Network Canada, in collaboration with the PRI Québec Network, and sponsored by Bell Canada, cordially invite you to join us on 5 December 5 2013 from 8:30 am – 11:00 am for a roundtable breakfast meeting that brings together Canadian investors and companies.

The purpose of this roundtable breakfast event is to discuss importance of UN Global Compact and the PRI, for both investors and companies, and to explore how the UNGC serves the interest of companies and investors.

We are delighted that Georg Kell, Executive Director of the United Nations Global Compact, will join as a keynote speaker for the event.  A key architect of the Global Compact, Mr. Kell has led the initiative since its founding in 2000, oversaw the conception and launch of PRI, and currently sits on the PRI Advisory Council.

A roundtable discussion, moderated by Helle Bank Jorgensen, Head of the Global Compact Network Canada, will follow Georg’s remarks.  Speakers include:

  • Marc Duchesne, Vice President Corporate Security and Responsibility, Bell Canada Enterprises discussing the alignment between the UNGC principles and Bell’s corporate responsibility strategy;
  • PRI Signatory (TBC) to discuss the role of the UNGC and PRI for institutional investors;
  • Simon MacMahon, Global Director, Advisory Services, Sustainalytics discussing the recently launched Global Compact 100 Stock Index.

The event is sponsored by Bell Canada and will take place at the Bell Canada headquarters in Montréal: 1 Carrefour Alexander Graham Bell, Building A, Verdun, Qc, H3E3B3.

Spaces for the roundtable breakfast meeting are limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.  Please RSVP your attendance by Thursday 28 November 2013 to Megan Wallingford

Following the roundtable, we invite you to join The Montreal Council on Foreign Relations (CORIM) luncheon where Georg Kell will be speaking about “Sustainable Development: A Necessary Leadership from the Business World”.  For more information and to register for this event please visit http://bit.ly/1aLxQKP
