The Climate Bonds Green Property Working Group have published for open comment their proposed eligibility criteria for property investments to be certified under the Climate Bonds Standard. To qualify, buildings are required to be in the top 15% of performers when it comes to emissions, or to achieve deep cuts in emissions when energy efficiency investments are made (click for more details).
The aim is to provide clarity to investors as to the low carbon integrity of buildings and energy efficiency investments linked to Green Bonds.
The PRI Initiative and Arup are co-hosting webinars on 1 and 3 July to run through and discuss the proposals (available here). The objective is to get feedback from participants on what CBI are proposing in terms of its practical application for Climate & Green Bonds. We hope you will join us.
If you would like to participate, please RSVP by 30 June to firstname.lastname@example.org
