The PRI Report on Progress 2007 is the first-ever global undertaking that captures in significant detail how investors are integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues within investment decision making and ownership practices with the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) as an action framework. The assessment tool was developed for the PRI by Mercer Investment Consulting with extensive input from the PRI Secretariat, the PRI Assessment Working Group, and a range of experts from signatory and other organisations. The online reporting interface was launched in February 2007, with final submissions accepted in early May. The questionnaire was intended to capture the responsible investment (RI) progress and activities of asset owner and investment manager signatories up until the end of 2006 and into the early part of 2007.
