Investors have a crucial role to play in making our economy and society more sustainable, preserving the wealth of our global ecology and ensuring human development and wellbeing.
Environmental, social and governance issues
The PRI works with its signatories to identify key environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in the market. It produces guidance materials, organises events and facilitates initiatives to address them.
Climate change
Climate change is the highest priority ESG issue facing investors. The PRI works to help investors protect portfolios from risks, take advantage of opportunities and deliver real-world impact in the shift to low-carbon, resilient economies.
Sustainable Development Goals
The PRI works to help investors align their responsible investment practices with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, both through research and education and by facilitating collaboration.

Addressing unsustainable aspects of markets that investors operate in, to achieve the economically efficient, sustainable financial system that responsible investors and beneficiaries need.
