In May 2021, the PRI presented a session on ’Delivering net zero emissions in Japan’ as part of our PRI Digital Forum: Climate & Nature Action event.

Faced with overwhelming evidence that Japan will suffer severe impacts from climate change if the global temperature rise exceeds 1.5°C, investors increasingly recognise the urgency and importance of acting to deliver reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement. During this session we covered the PRI’s roadmap for achieving net zero by 2050 in Japan.
