The Sustainable Innovation Forum 2024 returns for its 16th annual edition during COP29, organised by Climate Action; bringing together 1,000 global sustainability leaders across all sectors including business, heavy industry, finance, government and civil society to promote transformative innovation and tangible climate action to help us go further, faster together.
Despite strong commitments at COP28, increasing regulation in Europe and incredible technological advancements the world over, we are still falling far short of the required scale and speed necessary to rewire the global economy and stabilise the world’s climate at 1.5°C. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) recently announced that annual average global temperature will temporarily exceed 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels for at least one of the next five years. As UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres declared, “We need an exit ramp off the highway to climate hell.”
Forming the flagship forum of the Climate Action Innovation Zone, the Sustainable Innovation Forum aims to redress this by bringing global leaders, corporate and financial executives, innovators, and government representatives together to deep dive into challenges, share successes and collaborate on solutions. The Forum does not require Blue Zone accreditation.
