The PRI is looking for signatories to join the Investor Working Group for the Australian pilot of the Collaborative Sovereign Engagement on Climate Change.
This initiative seeks to help Australian governments take all possible steps to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and build resilience toward climate change damage, in line with the Paris Agreement and stabilising average global warming to 1.5°C.
As a pilot, this Initiative also seeks to better understand and test ways for working for collaborative sovereign engagements on climate change that may be applicable to other markets in time.
As this initiative accelerates, the Advisory Committee has agreed to establish an Investor Working Group to expand and drive the engagement forward. We are now looking for signatories who are interested to join this group.
The deadline for applications is 30 June 2023. Interested signatories are welcome to apply through the PRI Collaboration Platform.
Investors can seek to join the Initiative as a member of three thematic sub-working groups engaging with different parts of the Australian system:
- The Federal Government
- National regulators & authorities
- Sub-sovereigns
