The PRI Academy provides CFA-accredited online training on how ESG issues impact company performance, shareholder value and investment decisions.
The training is completely web-based, meaning that you can start and finish when and where you please: no travel, no pressure, lower greenhouse gas emissions.
MEET THE PRI ACADEMY TEAM:
Terry Thornton, Head of Online Learning
Terry joined the PRI in November 2014. He is responsible for the PRI Academy.
Before joining the PRI, Terry developed online courses and live workshops on responsible investment for investment professionals at the US Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment (US SIF). In addition, he helped create and develop the Center for Sustainable Investment Education for the US SIF Foundation. Prior to working at US SIF, Terry developed training programs for pension trustees, running shareowner advocacy campaigns, and reporting on corporate governance.
He holds an MPP from Harvard University and a BA from the University of Maryland.
Muhammad Bilal, IT Manager
Muhammad joined the PRI in May 2015. He is responsible for designing and implementing the technologies and systems needed for the PRI Academy.
Prior to the PRI, Muhammad was at the Association of Children's Welfare Agencies, managing eLearning projects for several Australian government departments. He had previously worked with Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) on launching RI Academy, the world's first online eLearning portal for sustainable finance, which was subsequently acquired by the PRI to become PRI Academy in late 2014. Before RI Academy, Muhammad worked with Innovative Development Organisation on projects funded by UNICEF, the British High Commission and the World Bank.
Rajiv Kainth, Business Development Associate
Raj joined the PRI in September 2016. He is responsible for business development for the PRI Academy.
Raj started his career in financial investments, working in various divisions including private equity, fixed income and trading. He then worked in business development in the finance sector where he helped grow small businesses.
Raj holds a BA from the University of Wolverhampton.
