REPORTING FOR ASSET OWNERS AND INVESTMENT MANAGERS
WHAT DO I HAVE TO REPORT ON?
The Reporting Framework is split into four main sections. All signatories complete sections 1, 2 and 4, which contain one module each. In s ection 1, signatories will describe the asset mix of their holdings, and this will inform which of the Section 3 modules they will complete. (Mouseover a module for a description of who must complete it.).
- Signatories will complete the asset class specific module for any asset classes in which they directly manage 10% or more of their total assets under management.
- Signatories with externally managed assets will complete the Selecting, Appointing and Monitoring module.
- Signatories with 10% or more of their total assets under management in externally managed Inclusive Finance will complete a module on indirect inclusive finance.
- Signatories with 10% or more of their total assets under management in internally managed Inclusive Finance will complete a module on direct inclusive finance.
- Signatories that are coordinating the voting and engagement activities of their listed equities holdings in-house will complete the Active Ownership module (if their listed equities holdings represent 10% or more of their total assets under management).
Assets managed by subsidiaries must be included if the signatory owns more than 50% of them, unless that subsidiary completes the Reporting Framework in its own right.

REPORTING FRAMEWORK MODULES:
WHAT DOES THE PRI PRODUCE FROM THE REPORTING DATA?
Transparency Reports show a signatory's public responses to the Reporting Framework, and are available to view on the PRI website.
Assessment reports are not published publicly. They demonstrate how a signatory has progressed year-on-year and relative to peers.
PRI conducts one-to-one Development Sessions with signatories wishing to discuss their reports and learn more about areas of improvement, and the resources available at PRI to facilitate this.

The Data Portal is a web-based platform that allows signatories to search, view and collate transparency reports. The portal enables users to request access to private reports (private transparency and assessment reports) from other signatories. At a later stage, it will allow users to export responses and visualise the data in a custom view. For further information click here.
The data is especially valuable for understanding the state of play in the responsible investment industry. It is used to inform many aspects of PRIs work, such as research projects, publications and events.
