We are one month into the 2025 PRI reporting window — and already seeing record momentum. Submissions are up 140% compared to the same period last year.

With seven weeks left until the 30 July deadline (23:59 local time zone), we encourage all signatories to continue making progress on their submissions.

START REPORTING

To improve the reporting experience, we’ve introduced several updates to the Reporting Tool, including:

  • Optional clarification text boxes to help signatories provide additional context where needed.
  • Pre-filled responses from previous submissions, making it quicker to complete reporting.

Missed our reporting webinar?

Our recent webinar offered an informative walkthrough of the 2025 PRI Reporting Framework , designed to help signatories navigate the reporting process confidently.

The session also included a live Q&A, where subject matter experts from our Solutions & Technology team addressed signatory questions.

What signatories asked

We received a wide range of thoughtful questions during the webinar, reflecting the common themes and areas of interest across the signatory base.

Webinar Q&A

After completing the Senior Leadership Statement (SLS) and Other Responsible Investment Reporting Obligations (ORO) modules, can I select additional modules to complete?

Signatories that previously reported publicly and met the minimum requirements can choose to either complete the SLS and ORO modules only (a partial report) or proceed with the full Reporting Framework. You cannot selectively choose additional modules to complete.

Once you have completed the SLS and ORO modules in the Reporting Tool, you will have the opportunity to submit a partial report or continue with the full Reporting Framework.

Please note that when completing the full Reporting Framework:

  • Each asset class module is mandatory for investment managers to report on if, during the relevant reporting year, they have either 10% or more of their assets under management (AUM) or at least USD $10billion in an internally managed asset class.
  • Asset owners do not report on direct asset class modules.

If we complete a partial report, what reporting outputs will my organisation receive?

Assessment Reports are based on responses to the full Reporting Framework and are designed to help signatories evaluate investment practices, benchmark against peers and track progress over time.

Transparency Reports present the responses provided by a signatory covering both mandatory and voluntary information. These reports are designed to encourage internal and external discussions on responsible investment practices.

Signatories that only complete the SLS and ORO modules (a partial report) will receive a partial Transparency Report, which only includes the responses to the SLS and ORO modules. This report will be available via the PRI Data Portal.

Partial reporters do not receive Assessment Reports. Only signatories that complete the full Reporting Framework receive both their full Transparency Report and Assessment Report.

I have started completing the full Reporting Framework, but now I only wish to submit the SLS and ORO module, is this possible?

Yes. If you decide to only submit the SLS and ORO modules, you can simply select the partial reporting option in the Reporting Tool and click Submit.

Will the ORO module form part of 2026 reporting?

We cannot confirm the exact format of 2026 reporting at this stage. However, we are actively working to streamline the process further and enhance the overall signatory experience. More information will be shared in our Pathways webinar later this year. In the meantime, please visit our new dedicated information site for more information about next year’s reporting cycle.

Is meeting the minimum requirements enough to remain a signatory, or is there a minimum required score too?

There is no minimum score or star rating that signatories must achieve on their Assessment Report to remain a signatory.

The minimum requirements for investor membership play an important role in supporting the PRI’s mission to achieve a sustainable global financial system. They are the baseline responsible investment practices that signatories must meet to maintain signatory status. We encourage signatories to go beyond the minimum requirements and continually improve their practices.

Is the 2025 Reporting Framework the same as in 2023 and 2024?

Approximately 95% of indicators this year remain the same as in 2023 and 2024.

For a detailed overview of the changes, please refer to our 2025 Indicator changes guide, which outlines the specific indicators that have been updated.

The key difference this year is the introduction of the ORO module. It allows signatories to disclose the other responsible investment frameworks and regulations they report against. This gives signatories a chance to outline the scope of their reporting obligations and helps the PRI better understand current and future reporting demands, informing the future development of PRI reporting.

If I complete the full Reporting Framework with only minimal changes to my previous report, will I still receive a scorecard?

Yes. If you complete the full Reporting Framework, you will receive new, full Transparency and Assessment Reports. This applies regardless of whether your responses are very similar or unchanged from previous years. The reports issued will be independent of your 2023 or 2024 submissions.

What is the benefit of using the new clarification text boxes?

The boxes offer an optional free-text field for each indicator, allowing you to provide context to your responses. While these fields are not assessed or scored, the information you provide will be visible in your Transparency Report alongside your indicator responses. This may help stakeholders understand your approach.
