Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Data Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining and enhancing our data architecture, processes and solutions, and supporting internal and external stakeholders in their data analysis and visualisation requirements.

This role will take responsibility for the maintenance and support of existing data services, delivery of new projects relating to the enhancement or expansion of our services, and partnership of our internal stakeholders in their data requirements. Working within the Data & Analytics Team as part of the Solutions & Technology function, you will work to understand the internal and external stakeholder data needs and how these can be met.

You will have the confidence to challenge assumptions, influence decision-making, and navigate ambiguity while setting expectations of the achievable outcomes. This role will report into the Head of Data and will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of the organisation data strategy, driving adoption of modern data practices and governance across the organisation. As well as your subject matter expertise in this role you will ideally have experience of working with global organisations in ESG, Government, Regulatory or the Financial Markets industry. The work will be based in London.

  • Monitor and audit user access and permissions, addressing any irregularities or security breaches.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with colleagues to understand data requirements around access, automation, analysis and presentation.
  • Document requirements, support project management, and lead on designs for new or enhanced data solutions.
  • Provide occasional training and coaching to users in reporting, data manipulation, visualisation, and analysis, promoting best practises in use of data and tools.
