PRI signatories can apply to join the Collaborative Sovereign Engagement on Climate Change as opportunities arise. Signatories that join the waiting list for the initiative will be contacted directly about further opportunities to participate in the initiative, in addition to being advertised on this webpage.

Investor working groups

PRI signatories can apply to join the initiative as a co-lead or collaborating investor of a market-specific investor working group. These groups carry out day-to-day engagements. Participating investors may be split into thematic engagement groups focused on different parts of the sovereign system or topics, with designated co-lead investors.

Signatory advisory committees

Individual representatives of PRI signatories may apply to join the initiative as a member of a market-specific advisory committee, in which their organisation will also be a participant in the relevant market investor working group. These signatory groups oversee the market engagement programmes and provides strategic advice to the PRI in supporting them.

Where the initiative supports a preliminary engagement programme, the PRI will establish an advisory & working group to support the programme. This will function as both an advisory committee and investor working group.

A limited number of members of market-specific advisory committees will also form the initiative’s Global Advisory Committee, which advises on the activities and strategy of the broader initiative, encompassing all related governance and engagement issues, and provides strategic advice to the PRI.

More information on the initiative and our market engagement programmes is available on our About, Engagements and FAQ pages. The terms of reference for participants and signatory advisory committees also provide more detail about the roles and responsibilities of PRI signatories within the initiative.

Waiting list

If there are no opportunities to join open spots in ongoing engagement programmes, signatories can register their interest to join the initiative via the waiting list

Signatories registered on the waiting list will be directly contacted when new opportunities to join the initiative arise.

Organisations on the waiting list will also receive invites to biannual update webinars about the initiative and have opportunities to provide feedback and input about the initiative’s evolution and where participating investors are seeking signatory views about topics relevant to their engagement.
