The UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) consulted on draft UK Sustainability Reporting Standards (SRS), which aim to deliver decision-useful sustainability-related financial information from companies to the financial markets.
The standards are well-aligned with the ISSB standards, with minor changes to ease implementation. Decisions about the scope, timing and legal authority of the standards will be taken by the UK government in the future, subject to further public consultation.
The PRI supports the introduction of requirements aligned with ISSB standards. We make further recommendations on leveraging capacity building and a position on the climate first phase-in provision in our response.
