The PRI paper, Shifting perceptions: ESG, credit risk and ratings has been judged the winner of the “Best ESG Paper 2017” in the Savvy Investor Awards 2017.

The awards recognise the best investment papers of the year, judged on the quality and readability of papers and their appeal to institutional investors.

Savvy Investor is the leading knowledge network for institutional investors.  Their focus is on enabling pension funds and professional investors to improve their processes and to do their job better. The publication’s audience is comprised of pension funds, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds and charities.

Commenting on the award, Carmen Nuzzo, senior consultant and leader of the ESG in Credit Ratings Initiative, said: “We are delighted to receive this award. The report is the result of a true collaborative effort between the PRI, the investor and credit rating agency signatories of the ESG in Credit Ratings Statement. This is only the first step and more work lies ahead to make ESG considerations more transparent and systematic in credit risk.”
