This tool provides an overview of academic research on ESG topics, for both academics and investors to gain a better understanding of the variety of material available.

The tool is based on a multi-disciplinary review covering a range of fields including finance, economics, environmental economics, accounting and management. It is an intentionally broad list, encompassing a wide array of material – for a curated list of the very best academic research available, see the PRI’s Top academic resources on responsible investment, compiled by our Academic Network Advisory Committee.

The content of the tool is continuously evolving. Please let us know any feedback on anything already listed or any suggested additions. If you are using the tool as part of your work, we’d love to hear how you are using it.

*Inclusion in this list does not imply that the PRI agrees with the views expressed in any of the pieces of research, or endorses the quality of the research itself. The list is based on earlier work available here.
